Does Quicken For Mac 2017 Work With Sierra

четверг 31 январяadmin

I opened up my Quicken 2007 this morning (never dreaming it might not be compatible in High Sierra). It worked fine. I did several months of work, and everything was fine: reconciled accounts, got a report with outstanding debits, etc. Still never occurred to me there might be problems, since everything worked as usual. When I shut it down, I got a pop up that said it was not able to automatically back up.

So I reopened, to see if I needed to do it manually. Got that other pop up that there were auto-transactions, and did I want to review them. Not only is all the data I updated this morning gone, but everything back to April, 2017!!!! Except all the auto-transactions thru today's date.

EVERYTHING ELSE!!!! I am about to have a heart attack. What do I do now????? I have used Quicken for Mac 2017 for over a year now.

I have used Quicken for Mac 2017 for over a year now. I have used several versions of Quicken (e.g., Quicken Essentials, Quicken for Mac 2015) since using Quicken for Mac 2007. So I will make a suggestion based on Quicken for Mac 2017, which may or may not work for your ten-year old software.

In Quicken for Mac 2017, you may use Quicken's menu to do: Quicken > Preferences > General > Automatically backup data when quitting Quicken. If you have this option and have selected it, then you may use Finder's menu to check: Go > Go To Folder. ~/library/application support Find Quicken 2007 there.

Find a Backups folder in there, and then an Automatic Backups folder within it. See if there's a file there that suits your needs. If so, use Quicken's menu to do File > Restore from Backup and you'll be set. Apple Footer • This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
