Why Do The Top And Bottom Margins Not Appear In Word For Mac

A quick way to change the margins is to select the Layout tab in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then in the Margins group, you will be able to view and change the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margin values using the respective controls. Right now we have the Top margin highlighted which is currently set to 1. The margins are not working properly. I set all 1' margins but the top and bottom of the page is cutoff by 1' instead of the cursor dropping down 1'. The cursor drops at the very top of the page.

Hey Community, So I am having an issue with Word 2016. My margins are set at 1 inch. However, when I type on my regular Word document, it does not display the 1 inch -- so when I am typing, it shows as if I was typing at the very top of the document. But when I click Print Preview, the document does display the 1 inch margin being there. So the 1 inch margin is there, but just not when I am typing on the document itself. Any idea what is going on? I tried reinstalling it and it still the same:( I hate it.

Nothing is corrupt & there's nothing wrong with your Normal.dotm template, you've merely invoked a newly added 'feature' which has plagued Word for Windows users for years. It's referred to as Show/Hide White Space. To turn it off you can either; • Double-click the top or bottom edge of a 'page' or one of the page break lines, or • Go to Word> Preferences- View to check the White space between pages. Check box Please mark HELPFUL or ANSWERED as appropriate to keep list as clean as possible ☺ Regards, Bob J.
